PENEWO – Why was it created?

Early thoughts

At the beginning we wanted to connect and support business by areas of interest. There are different ways to find businesses, freelancers or sole proprietors. Search engines, specialized programs for finding freelancers (as an example), paid systems, free systems and at least the good old yellow pages that connected us long before the information age.

Our dream - a source of information that comes to mind when looking for a business connection - like the Yellow Pages, but made for a modern world - a state of the art connection system.

Then a second thought came up. If we work out such a business system, why shouldn’t it connect anyone by any interest? Why limit it only for the business community and not make it available for, as an example, people looking for people by any of their interests?

YES - that's what we finally wanted to develop. A comprehensive connection tool for any occasion of life.

But what should it look like and how should it work?

It was not easy!

It is said that artificial intelligence (AI) will increasingly find its way into social media. But do machines really know your interests and do we really want a registry that stores all what we are, processes the data and creates an electronic image of ourselves for to give us proposals what we should do! It’s scary – spooky so to speak.

This is not what we want. But what do we want?

Our alternative – information for people through their self-defined interests. They decide, chose, are creative and talk to each other to find new ways and solutions for life.

Don’t think, that creating a relevant system was easy. We really had to put some thoughts into it.

We had to put some brainpower into the question how to transfer an amount of information in the shortest period of time in an age where the attention span is measured in seconds and people receive a daily aggressive overflow of advertisement.  

And there is more. Simple pictures, crazy gimmicks and fancy short movies are pushing away and giving no chance for real useful information that simply takes a little bit longer to explain and some thoughts to understand.

Are we getting stupid in an age where it was never easier to get really useful information? A complete paradox.

After all we came up with the Penewo Micro System that you can experience on our Main Page (especially in the desktop version of Penewo). It gives you a brief outline including latest uploads of the “profile” behind it and you can decide if you want to see more.

The next question - how should a profile look like?

We could have made an easy profile like many others but does a profile for someone who looks for a relationship should look like the profile of a producer of brake lining? So we came up with an overall solution, that fits everyone and that reminds us more to a webpage than a profile. This is why we call it Penewo page. We give users a web address so that now everyone can be represented on the internet. We also implemented an electronic name card system for business people.

Last but not least

Finally we hope that we've created an entertaining and fascinating medium for you to browse through uploads on your preset themes, get informed by interesting topics and get represented the way it should be. We hope it helps you and you have fun and an interesting time with it.
